CANADA: Una gran marcha roja celebra el centenario de la Gran Revolución Socialista de Octubre.

Communiqué

An Imposing Red March to Mark the 100th Anniversary of the October Revolution!

This past November 7th, heeding to the call of the Revolutionary Communist Party, a strong contingent of partisans of socialism took to the streets and marched through downtown Montreal to mark the centennial of the Great October Revolution of 1917. This demonstration was the peak moment of weeks of intense mobilization, organization, agitation and propaganda that contributed to the politicization of a great number of proletarians in multiple cities in Quebec.
Written upon one of the two giant banners that made up the head of the contingent was to be found a single word in big characters, “SOCIALISM”. One word, and a simple one; its meaning has, for a long time, been blurred and damaged by the bourgeoisie and its agents within the workers’ movement, but it remains among the exploited of the whole world as the word which is enough to evoke the heroic struggles waged by millions of people for emancipation and for the progress of humanity. A word describing the most rational and efficient system the human race has ever known, a system which, not too long ago, allowed for the spectacular improvement of the living conditions of a considerable part of the world’s population. A simple word which, among the toiling masses, is enough to awaken the yearning to struggle and to fight for the conquest of political power, for the end of centuries of exploitation and barbarism. A word which, far from referring to the simple restructuring of capitalist order proposed by reformists, in the mouth of a communist is worthy of a true declaration of war on bourgeois society. A word which calls forth the society of the future.
100 years after the October Revolution, the struggle is still for socialism, everywhere on Earth. It is this clear message that was sent forth to the proletarians of the whole world by the demonstrators who, wearing the hammer and sickle, walked proudly with their red flags behind the portraits of the three greatest revolutionary educators and leaders yet known to the international proletariat—Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, and Mao Zedong. On the same occasion, they sent just as clear a message to the Canadian bourgeoisie, who, only a few years ago, thought it would never again see these symbols of communism reappear in the heart of one of the country’s biggest cities, but who can now no longer ignore the fact that after a more or less long period of low-tide and scattering, the communist movement rebuilt itself and is now newly growing, today armed with more precise perspectives than those of the past, and now guided by the most advanced revolutionary theory in existence, Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.
Despite the century of brutal efforts undertaken by the ruling classes of all countries and particularly by those of the imperialist countries to annihilate the international communist movement, despite decades of intense propaganda aiming to discredit historical experiences of the exploited seizing power by slandering them and by presenting capitalism as the most advanced form of socialist organization in existence, despite the temporary defeats suffered by the world proletariat, the ghost of communism remains − even in the heart of imperialist centers such as Canada. A new wave of proletarian revolutions is being prepared. Let the ruling classes of the whole world tremble at this truth!

LONG LIVE THE PRECIOUS HERITAGE OF THE 1917 OCTOBER REVOLUTION AND THAT OF ALL PAST REVOLUTIONS!
LONG LIVE THE STRUGGLE FOR SOCIALISM AND COMMUNISM!
LONG LIVE THE RCP!
WITH THEIR POWER, WORKERS WILL PUT AN END TO CENTURIES OF EXPLOITATION!
