GALIZA: In tribute to Jose Maria Sison on the 54th anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippines. (CCPCMG)

In tribute to Jose Maria Sison on the 54th anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippines.

The news of Ka Joma's (Jose Maria Sison) death resounded throughout the world among the militancy of the International Communist Movement. Sison was one of the founders and leaders of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and the New People's Army (NPA). The break of Sison and his comrades with revisionism, which materialized in the creation of a New-type proletarian Party in 1968 and some months later (already in 1969), with the creation of the Philippine People's Army (NPA); gave birth to the people's war in the Philippines that is still developing at the present time. This was certainly a great contribution of Sison and his comrades not only to defend the interests of the Filipino proletariat, but it was also a great contribution to the International Communist Movement and to the strategic interests of the proletariat in the world class struggle, which must be honoured.

The news in Galicia that the Filipino masses fighting in the NPA have declared that they will not carry out a ceasefire to pay homage to Ka Joma, but will only carry out tactical offensives, is without doubt, in our opinion, the best homage that the revolutionaries in the Philippines can offer Ka Joma. It is also news which greatly cheers the most conscious Galician proletariat which makes up the Galician Communist Movement and which particularly cheers this Committee (CGCPCMG).

The work of Comrade Sison was important for the birth of a party like the Communist Party of the Philippines, which is capable of confronting both the reactionary forces of the bourgeois state and its own devilishness. It is capable of self-criticism and of carrying out rectification campaigns, whenever this was necessary because the social reality did not correspond to its mass line.

At these moments when the Communist Party of the Philippines is celebrating its 54th anniversary, we take this opportunity to convey our congratulations for having a history of great struggles and victories against the enemies of the people (the bourgeois state and the paramilitaries) and against the enemies of humanity (the imperialist powers).

The Galician proletariat wishes the triumph of the revolution in the Philippines and the other countries of the world. Nothing would make us happier than the triumph of the revolution in the Philippines and the transformation of the New Power into a new state which would be an authentic base of support for the World Proletarian Revolution.

Honour and glory to Comrade Sison!

Conscience in charge!

Committee for the Construction of the Maoist Communist Party of Galicia (CCPCMG).
