AUSTRIA: Vienna: Rally condemns the murders of revolutionaries in India in the strongest terms!

Below we share a brief report and pictures from the manifestation organized last Saturday, May 31, in solidarity with the Indian revolutionary movement. The report was published on the webpage of Action for Democratic Rights of the People (ADRV).

The Indian embassy, located directly in the 1st district of Vienna, was the scene of a loud manifestation last Saturday, May 31. The demonstrators firmly opposed the murders of communists and revolutionaries in India with speeches and banners.

 

In particular, the life and struggle of Comrade Basavaraj, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), and 26 other communists were brought to the forefront – as they were murdered in a counter-revolutionary attack by the Hindu-fascist old regime on May 21. This blow against the revolutionary movement in India has been condemned in many parts of the world, and numerous protests have already taken place. The speeches given at the rally by various initiatives and organizations showed one thing above all: The solidarity with the revolutionary struggle in India is unbroken and must be resolutely continued.

 

The location of the rally, the Indian embassy, was also used to condemn Austria's support for the Modi government. Just last year, the red carpet was rolled out for Modi in Vienna, while the Indian reaction carried out the genocidal operation “Kagaar” against the Indian people and the revolutionary movement. Hundreds have already fallen victim to this operation.

 

Besides the Action for Democratic Rights of the People (ADRV), Partizan, KOMintern (Communist Trade Union Initiative - International), Friends of the Filipino People in Struggle (FFPS) and ADHF, Palestinian organizations (such as the Arab Palestine Club) and other Turkish/Kurdish organizations also supported the important manifestation.

 

The manifestation was the first action to condemn the massacres by the Indian state and to defend the revolution, the people's war, in India. More will follow.

KENIA: Statement by the ‘Communist Party of Marxists – Kenya’ on the murder of Comrade Basavaraj

 

It is with great sadness that we receive news of the murder of Comrade Basavraj (Nambala Keshava Rao), Secretary General of the Communist Party of India (Maoist). He was gunned down together with 26 other comrades by mercenaries of the fascist Indian state in Chhattisgarh’s Abujhmarh region. The attack was carried out with the goal of patching the cracks growing in India caused by its oppression of millions of workers, peasants, women, dalits, and Adivasis. The Indian state continues to try and terrorise the Indian people into accepting their oppression by comprador capitalism, feudalism and imperialism.

Comrade Basavraj made great contributions in the founding of the People’s Liberation Guerilla Army (PLGA). His contributions were recognised by electing him to the post of General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist). He was passed the torch by Comrade Ganapathy in 2018. In all sorts of conditions, he has struggled both ideologically and on the battlefield to secure and expand the Indian revolution so that it may reach Indians.

The fascist leaders gloat over the death of the comrades of the People’s Liberation Guerilla Army and the Communist Party of India (Maoist), assuming this marks the end of the party’s work. They forget that it is not the comrades who chose People’s War but that it was the path imposed upon them by the contradictions of India’s moribund marriage between feudalism and capitalism imperialism. Without dealing with this as the root cause, the People’s War can never end. In fact, the deaths of comrades will serve to inspire new resistance to the state and growth in the party.

These facts are already being revealed to us by their refusal to allow our slain comrades’ loved ones to offer them a dignified farewell. The Government of Chhattisgarh has cruelly decided to hold them in wretched conditions where they are decaying, in spite of court orders to the contrary. This is a clear reflection of the power of the comrades to inspire and motivate the masses towards the revolutionary path. That the fascists fear them even in death. And just like with Baghat Singh, hiding his mortal remains will not extinguish the spark of revolution lit in people’s hearts.

The Central Organising Committee of the Communist Party Marxist – Kenya and the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Youth League offer our deepest condolences to our comrades of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and the Indian working class who bear the weight of this terrible blow. We grieve the loss of Comrade Basavraj and the other martyrs who laid their lives down in defence of the people. We will strive to uphold his memory and that of his fellow comrade fighters forevermore.

¡BASAVA RAJU Y LOS INMORTALES MAOÍSTAS DE LA INDIA SON LA BANDERA ROJA DE LA GUERRA POPULAR CONTRA EL IMPERIALISMO! ¡APOYAMOS LA GUERRA POPULAR DIRIGIDA POR EL PCI (MAOÍSTA) CONTRA LOS SANGRIENTOS ATAQUES DEL IMPERIALISMO Y EL ESTADO INDIO!

La masacre perpetrada el 21 de mayo de 2025 en la región india de Narayanpur por el régimen fascista de Modi es uno de los ejemplos más sangrientos de la guerra de agresión que libra el imperialismo contra los pueblos del mundo. El martirio del Camarada Basava Raju, Secretario General del Partido Comunista de la India (Maoísta) y gran comandante de la guerra popular, junto con 27 luchadores del pueblo, no es solo un ataque contra el pueblo indio, sino también un ataque contrarrevolucionario multifacético dirigido contra el movimiento revolucionario mundial, los pueblos oprimidos y la clase obrera. Las vidas de Basava Raju y sus camaradas son la viva imagen del marxismo-leninismo-maoísmo. No son simplemente dirigentes de un país, sino pioneros del camino de la humanidad hacia la liberación. Así como las guerras populares en todo el mundo han infundido miedo en el imperialismo, la guerra que se libra en la India arde como una antorcha de resistencia en el corazón del sistema imperialista.

El Estado indio, con su aparato represivo fascista a nivel nacional y con el apoyo militar, tecnológico y de inteligencia de los centros imperialistas en el extranjero, ha atacado a la dirección del pueblo. En este ataque, ha buscado no solo eliminar a los cuadros revolucionarios, sino también borrar la conciencia histórica de resistencia entre el pueblo.

La operación, conocida como «Kagaar», forma parte de una guerra de ocupación librada por los imperialistas a través de sus títeres locales para reprimir la guerra popular en la India. El verdadero propósito de esta operación es aplastar el creciente poder popular en la región de Dandakaranya, la lucha de liberación del pueblo adivasi y la creciente influencia del Ejército Guerrillero de Liberación Popular (EGLP). El Estado fascista indio ha convertido la región en una base militar para proteger los intereses de conglomerados mineros, consorcios energéticos e inversiones imperialistas. Se han bombardeado bosques, incendiado aldeas, miles de personas han sido desplazadas por la fuerza y se ha atacado a mujeres, niños y ancianos. Mediante esta masacre, el Estado fascista indio ha atacado no solo a los cuadros de un Partido comunista, sino también a la voluntad del pueblo adivasi de resistir el saqueo y la explotación imperialistas, al derecho a la vida de los campesinos y a la propia guerra popular.

¡Esto no es una guerra, sino una estrategia de genocidio! Y detrás de este genocidio se encuentran no solo el fascismo indio, sino también los imperialistas que le brindan apoyo económico y militar. Se trata de una operación de exterminio directo guiada, respaldada y tecnológicamente equipada por el imperialismo, en particular por Estados Unidos, el Reino Unido y otras grandes potencias monopolistas. La “Operación Kagaar” es una operación para proteger los intereses del capital financiero internacional y los conglomerados mineros multinacionales. Es producto de la necesidad del sistema imperialista global de recurrir a formas fascistas para reprimir las resistencias locales.

¡Como Liga Antiimperialista, consideramos la guerra popular como la forma más avanzada de lucha revolucionaria contra el imperialismo y apoyamos incondicionalmente las luchas de liberación nacional, la Revolución de Nueva Democracia y el socialismo de los pueblos del mundo!

Como Liga Antiimperialista, recalcamos una vez más: ¡La resistencia armada del pueblo no solo es legítima, sino también una forma de lucha necesaria y estratégica en los países bajo dominación imperialista! Las guerras revolucionarias del pueblo contra la explotación, la ocupación, el fascismo y la barbarie imperialista son el único camino donde los oprimidos se alzan, la dirección revolucionaria se une a las masas y la esperanza se hace realidad.

El asesinato de Basava Raju exige que adoptemos y ampliemos aún más la línea de lucha contra el imperialismo y el reaccionario Estado indio.

Con esta consciencia, declaramos: Todo líder comunista y revolucionario, perseguido por los imperialistas y sus lacayos, se vuelve inmortal en el corazón del pueblo. Todo mártir revolucionario renace en la voluntad colectiva de la resistencia antiimperialista, la Revolución de Nueva Democracia y la lucha por el socialismo.

¡El asesinato de Basava Raju es un llamado a emprender con mayor fiereza la lucha armada del pueblo contra la barbarie imperialista!

Como Liga Antiimperialista, es nuestro deber expandir la defensa internacional de la guerra popular y unir las luchas antiimperialistas de los pueblos en un frente común. La guerra que se intensifica bajo la dirección del Camarada Basava Raju no es solo un asunto interno de la India. ¡Es un frente en la revolución mundial contra el imperialismo! Y nos solidarizamos incondicional e inequívocamente con el PCI (Maoísta), la dirección marxista-leninista-maoísta, los guerreros del pueblo y todos aquellos que resisten.

Esta masacre ha puesto de manifiesto una vez más no solo la naturaleza fascista del Estado indio, sino también la naturaleza del ataque desmesurado que libra el imperialismo contra los pueblos del mundo. Los conglomerados mineros imperialistas que saquean las tierras, los bosques y la cultura del pueblo adivasi son las verdaderas fuerzas detrás de este genocidio. ¡El régimen fascista indio es simplemente el verdugo interno del imperialismo!

A todas las fuerzas antiimperialistas, organizaciones progresistas y revolucionarias: apoyar las guerras populares y sumarse a las luchas armadas contra el imperialismo a nivel internacional es una tarea vital. ¡La inmortalidad de Basava Raju es un llamado a que esta lucha se extienda aún más!

BANGALDESH: Protest Rally in Bangla Desh for Basavaraj and martyrs

Protest Rally Organized by the Martyr Revolutionary and Patriot Memorial Council Condemning the Killing of CPI (Maoist) General Secretary Comrade Basavaraj and Other Maoist Revolutionaries, Demanding Immediate End to Operation Kagar

On 31 May 2025, a protest rally was organized condemning the killing of Comrade Basavaraj, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), along with other Maoist revolutionaries, and demanding an immediate end to Operation Kagar.

The rally began with the laying of a floral wreath at the portrait of Comrade Basavaraj and a one-minute silence in memory of all martyrs killed in Operation Kagar.

The event was presided over by Hasan Fakri, President of the Shahid Biplobi O Deshpremik Smriti Sangsad and conducted by Tawfika Priya, Acting President of the Revolutionary Student-Youth Movement. Speakers included Dr. Harun-ur-Rashid, General Secretary of the Maulana Bhasani Parishad; Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Convener of Gana Mukti Union; Tamiz Uddin, General Secretary of the Shahid Biplobi O Deshpremik Smriti Sangsad; Badal Shah Alam, Editor of Khanon magazine; Afzalul Bashar, representing the Socialist Intellectuals' Association; Anis Raihan, member of the Shahid Biplobi O Deshpremik Smriti Sangsad; Kanan Chakraborty, National Committee Member of the New Democratic People's Forum; Masud Khan, President of the Jatiya Ganatantrik GonoMancha; Nayem Uddin, Convener of the Revolutionary Student-Youth Movement Dhaka Metropolitan; and Ferdous Rahman Rod, Joint Convener of the Chhatro Gonomancha Dhaka Metropolitan, among others.

Speakers stated that the Maoists are engaged in a struggle on behalf of the oppressed people against imperialism, expansionism, bureaucratic comprador capitalism, feudalism, and all reactionaries. Under Maoist leadership, the indigenous people of Dandakaranya have for years been fighting to protect their water, forests, and land. That is why the Hindutva fascist Modi government, a stooge of imperialism, wants to annihilate the Maoists completely through Operation Kagar. If they can suppress the Maoists, they can more easily evict the indigenous people from their forests and lands and hand them over to multinational corporations.

At today's protest rally, speakers also said that India must immediately stop Operation Kagar. We pledge, in the name of the blood of Comrade Basavaraj and all martyrs of CPI (Maoist), that we will take revenge. The death of a revolutionary is not the end—each drop of a revolutionary's blood gives birth to thousands more.

MÉXICO: CR-PCM Statement on the Murder of Comrade Basavaraj in India

Hereby we share an unofficial translation of the Statement found in Periódico Mural.

Proletarians of all countries, unite!

A few days ago, we knew about the murder of Nambala Keshava Rao, better known as Comrade Basavaraj, who was the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist). He was martyred along with 26 other comrades from his Party during a massacre committed by the fascist regime of Narendra Modi.

His assassination took place on May 21 in the Abhujmad area of Chhattisgarh state, and it occurs in the context of the counterinsurgency “Operation Kagaar,” which is unleashed by the reactionary classes of India and its Hindutva-Brahmanical State, with the backing of both U.S. imperialism and Russian imperialism, which are competing for absolute control of the country and the region.

Like the military strategies that preceded it, the so-called “Operation Kagaar” is doomed to failure, despite the apparent military might of the old State and the criminal brutality with which the reactionary armed forces of India conduct their war against the people. During the nearly 17 months that this operation has been ongoing, the State has mobilized thousands of soldiers, police, and paramilitaries, launching ground and aerial attacks against villages and communities, leaving hundreds injured and killed, criminalizing the Adivasi and Naxalite peoples, and committing persecution and arbitrary detentions of workers, peasants, students, and intellectuals, while unleashing genocide in the countryside. The aim of all this is to hand over natural resources, minerals, water, forests, etc., into the hands of monopolistic companies, deepening the semi-colonial condition of the country, while maintaining the concentration of land in the hands of large landowners and reinforcing the caste system, which also strengthens the semi-feudal condition prevailing in India.

To achieve this objective, the old Hindutva-Brahmanical State needs to intensify the war against the people, clearly understanding that its main obstacles are the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and the People’s War it leads, considering them a threat to national security.

However, all military actions and crimes against the people by the State are futile and will not be able to stop the firm advance of the People’s War, which is building support bases for the New Democratic Revolution, giving rise to the New Power in the forests, jungles, and mountains of the so-called “Red Corridor” that extends across the eastern, central, and southern parts of India. This People’s War is the largest in the world and has reached its 58th anniversary this week since it began on May 25, 1967, with the Naxalbari uprising.

Comrade Basavaraj, martyr of the Revolution and hero of the people

From a very young age, at the age of 20, Comrade Basavaraj took a stand in favor of the people, beginning his revolutionary activities in the then Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (People’s War), of which he became a member of its Central Committee and part of its Central Military Commission, where he excelled in both operational and leadership capacities, serving as both a military chief and a political leader.

Later, in 2004, at the Unity Congress where the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (People’s War) and the Maoist Communist Center of India declared the foundation of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), Comrade Basavaraj was appointed a member of its Central Committee. At that Congress, the leadership of the Party was assumed by Comrade Ganapathy, who later stepped down for health reasons and was succeeded by Comrade Basavaraj in 2018.

Comrade Basavaraj, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), was forged over more than five decades of relentless class struggle under the fire of the People’s War and the struggle of two lines that he helped develop. He was rightly feared by Modi’s fascist regime, the reactionary State, and imperialism for his prominent role in the People’s War and his multiple democratic achievements.

Comrade Basavaraj was trained as a communist under the thought of Comrade Charu Mazumdar, and as the head of the Party, he contributed to the formation of thousands and thousands of new cadres, fighters, and popular masses through his example, fighting under the banners of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA), and the Revolutionary People’s Committees/New Power amidst the ongoing New Democracy Revolution.

Comrade Basavaraj has passed away at the age of 70, and undoubtedly the CPI (Maoist), the PLGA, and the RPCs have lost one of their most beloved leaders amidst the ongoing People’s War. The death of Comrade Basavaraj carries the weight of the highest mountains in all of India; his life and struggle must be honored by communists and revolutionaries around the world.

The Committee for the Reconstitution of the Communist Party of Mexico honors the memory of Comrade Basavaraj and the 26 comrades who were martyred alongside him. We salute the comrades of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army, the Revolutionary People’s Committees, and all the democratic-revolutionary formations in India that are carrying out the tasks of the ongoing New Democracy Revolution.

We lower our red flags in memory of the martyrs of the Indian revolution, now honored as heroes of the people, whose names will be inscribed on the wall of honor of the international proletariat.

CPI (Maoist) Dandakaranya Special Region Committee announced that Comrade Nambala Keshav Rao (Basavaraj), the leader of the Indian revolutionary movement and General Secretary of CPI (Maoist), along with 27 comrades, including members of the Central Committee and party members, announced that they were immortalised in the massacre carried out on 21 May 2025 in the Mad region. We bow with respect before the immortal memories of Comrade Basavaraj, the leader of the Indian revolution, and the 27 people's warriors, and we remember them with gratitude. We condemn the massacre carried out by the reactionary rulers of India and their army, and we salute the CPI (Maoist) and the red resistance, which persistently continue the revolutionary struggle under extremely harsh conditions.

We are going through a process in which the rulers of the imperialist capitalist system are driving the world and humanity towards total destruction in order to overcome the crisis they are in and expand their hegemony. In the wars waged by the imperialist blocs for world hegemony, the peoples of the world are being subjected to death, hunger, poverty, in other words, total savagery. This bloody system, which is fuelling the anger of the people day by day, has mobilised all its resources to prevent the great uprising of the people. The concept of eliminating the revolutionary, socialist and communist movements that are leading and guiding the uprising of the oppressed and working people of the world is specifically on the agenda.

The war waged by the Modi fascist dictatorship, supported by the imperialists, against the vanguard forces of the Indian revolution is precisely part of this concept. The Maoist guerrilla struggle is facing a major liquidationist attack and encirclement aimed at suppressing the struggle of the Indian people, opening India up even more to the plunder of imperialist monopolies, and strangling the Indian revolution. In the bloody operation carried out under the name of Kagaar, hundreds of people from the people and the guerrillas have been killed so far. In the latest massacre, the General Secretary, cadres, and fighters of the CPI (Maoist) fought heroically for 60 hours and were immortalised. While these losses are serious for the revolutionary movement in India and worldwide, they will never be able to halt the progress and growth of the revolutionary struggle. The victory cries of the fascist Modi regime are in vain. The working class and oppressed people of India will embrace their leaders, the proletariat and peoples of the world will strengthen international solidarity, and they will never forget the revolutionaries fighting for the revolution; they will not lay down their flags. As Comrade Basavaraj said: "Martyrdom does not weaken the struggle; martyrdom is not in vain. There has never been such a thing in history. Martyrdom has given strength to the revolutionary movement. I still believe that with the inspiration of these martyrs, the revolutionary movement will rise again with even greater strength. The malicious plans of this fascist government will not succeed. The final victory will belong to the people."

We stand with the revolutionary people of India, the revolutionaries, and the CPI (Maoist) against these bloody operations carried out against them, and we salute their resistance. We remember Comrade Basavaraj and the 27 people's warriors with respect and pledge to keep their memories alive in our united revolutionary struggle and international solidarity.

For over a year now, the Indian fascist state's attacks on the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army, on members of the indigenous tribes and democratic people in India led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist) have escalated to genocidal levels. Operation Kagaar, the title the central government has given to the large-scale massacre unleashed by the country's central government, has the declared objective of finally crushing the armed Naxalite movement and "ridding the country of Maoists by 31/3/2026", as Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah has openly stated.

As part of the larger Operation SAMADHAN-Prahar, launched in 2017 by the Modi government of the Hindu fascist BJP, the ongoing crackdown campaign is a continuation of Operation Green Hunt, launched in 2009, when the central command was headed by the — now opposition — National Congress Party. The target of the Indian state's attacks is India's heroic armed revolutionary Maoist movement, rooted in the glorious 1967 Naxalbari uprising, its struggle for liberation and social progress, as well as the struggle of the poor peasants and indigenous people (Adivasis) in central and eastern India against the land grab by the imperialist-capitalist monopolies, which this movement has led with considerable success.

In this context, recently, in the Kareguta hills, a major centre of the armed struggle on the border between the states of Chhattisgarh and Telangana, tens of thousands of military, police and paramilitary forces have been mobilised under the name of "Operation Sankalp", using even indiscriminate aerial bombardment and committing horrific crimes against party leaders, militants and ordinary citizens. This is happening at a time when the Communist Party of India (Maoist) has declared a unilateral ceasefire and is ready for peace talks.

According to a recent statement of the Coordinating Committee for Peace (16/5/2025), the victims are subjected to inhumane treatment even after their death, with the following description being typical: "When relatives arrived at the hospitals to identify the bodies, the media arrived there and revealed that the bodies were covered with worms and decomposing and were impossible to identify. The police made no effort to keep the bodies in a safe condition. Looking at the photos and details released by the police, it appears that some of the dead are as young as 16 years old." The committee demands that the ongoing war be declared a civil war and that the elementary rules of war be observed, which — on the lines of what the imperialist powers do in their "humanitarian" interventions and the Zionist state in its genocide of the Palestinian people — are being brutally violated by India’s fascist state.

At the same time, it is defiantly announced by the local government of Kerala state, led by the reactionary-revisionist Communist Party of India (Marxist) that extreme poverty will be immediately eradicated in the region. That is, in a country where 60 per cent of the population lives below the official poverty line and 250 million people survive on less than $2 a day, the ruling pseudo-leftists claim to bring prosperity. The subservient revisionists, more than a few brutal accomplices in the anti-Maoist repressive campaign of the state of India, are mocking the people of India and throwing dust in the eyes of the revolutionary-progressive forces in the rest of the planet.

Every progressive and democratic person should denounce the crime that is being committed against the revolutionaries and the people of India. Let us show our practical support for the struggle of the revolutionary movement in India, which is a source of inspiration and lessons for movements all over the world!

Il segretario generale del Partito Comunista dell’India (maoista), Basavraj, è stato assassinato combattendo insieme a 26 quadri maoisti, nelle foreste del Chhattisgarh.

E’ stato necessario per il regime di Modi mettere in campo un’enorme forza militare per colpire il compagno Basavraj e i suoi compagni. Questo mostra non la forza ma la debolezza del regime indiano.

La morte di Basavraj e dei nostri compagni è una grave perdita per il Partito, per i proletari e le masse popolari nel mondo e per il movimento comunista internazionale, di cui questo Partito, basato sul marxismo-leninismo-maoismo e impegnato nella più grande guerra di popolo attualmente al mondo, nel paese più popoloso del mondo, dove si gioca una parte determinante dello scontro mondiale tra imperialismo e proletari e popoli oppressi del mondo. Uno scontro che gioca una parte decisiva nell’attuale situazione mondiale caratterizzata dalla marcia verso la guerra imperialista, la repressione, lo sfruttamento, la miseria e l’oppressione dei popoli.

L’imperialismo e il regime indiano gridano alla vittoria. Ma si sbagliano! La straordinaria storia del movimento comunista indiano e della guerra di popolo in questo paese nasce dai gloriosi anni ’70 e dal vento della rivoluzione che dalla Cina rossa, guidata da Mao Tse tung, arriva in India e si incarna nel movimento dei Naxaliti, guidato da Charu Mazundar e dal Partito da lui fondato; anch’egli martirizzato allo scopo di soffocare questo movimento. La realtà ha dimostrato che la rivoluzione indiana, il movimento naxalita, il Partito Comunista dell’India marxista-leninista – oggi PCI (maoista) - sono indistruttibili.

I governi reazionari della borghesia burocratico compradora passano e si consumano, e finiscono nella pattumiera della storia; mentre il movimento comunista marxista-leninista-maoista e la marcia per la rivoluzione di Nuova Democrazia verso il socialismo e il comunismo, nonostante vittorie e sconfitte, avanzate e arretramenti, si dimostrano invincibili. Essi servono non solo la liberazione dei proletari e delle masse indiane ma la rivoluzione mondiale.

Il compagno Basavraj è il frutto di questa storia, è il prodotto del proletariato e delle masse oppresse dell’India, è forgiato dal Marxismo-Leninismo-Maoista e dalla forza della rivoluzione.

Il compagno Basavraj ha cominciato la sua lunga storia come dirigente e organizzatore del movimento degli studenti e poi come militante e quadro del Partito. E’ stato il fondatore, sotto la guida del Partito, dell’Esercito guerrigliero popolare ed è stato la guida della pagine più alte come Comandante degli attacchi allo Stato reazionario indiano, ai suoi governi che hanno fatto di questo Partito quello “il nemico interno principale” dal regime indiano e dall’imperialismo.

Il compagno Basavraj è stato maestro della guerra popolare, costruttore di Basi di guerriglia e di organismi del potere popolare. E questo ne ha fatto, quando il compagno Ganapathi deve lasciare il suo posto per motivi di salute, il segretario generale del Partito comunista dell’India (maoista). In una situazione estremamente difficile, con il regime indiano che scatena la guerra contro il popolo attraverso diverse operazioni, sempre con l’obiettivo principale di colpire il Partito, i suoi quadri, la sua Direzione, ; sempre con l’obiettivo di servire la borghesia indiana e l’imperialismo su scala nazionale e mondiale; sempre nell’illusione disperata di cancellare la guerra popolare e arrestare la marcia della rivoluzione.

Il governo fascista di Modi non comprende – come è stato detto- che la rivoluzione di Nuova democrazia non nasce da un individuo, né può essere soffocata con il martirio di un individuo. Il popolo e solo il popolo è la forza motrice della storia. E’ il popolo che produce e riproduce il Partito, i suoi quadri, è il popolo che ha prodotto il compagno Basavraj.

Ed è il popolo che, nonostante la grave perdita, darà un presente e un futuro alla rivoluzione indiana e al Partito.

Certo, questo è sempre il frutto della capacità di applicare, con l’analisi concreta nella situazione concreta, il MLM, le leggi della guerra.

Certo, questo ha bisogno di una strategia e tattica che rispondano sia agli avanzamenti che agli arretramenti. Ed è attraverso questo che la rivoluzione resiste e vince. Tutto questo non è solo il frutto della forza della rivoluzione indiana e del suo Partito, richiede e domanda il sostegno dei proletari e dei popoli del mondo. Ogni rivoluzione quando ha potuto contare su questo ha vinto.

E questo richiede che il Movimento Comunista Internazionale, i suoi Partiti, le sue Organizzazioni, grandi e piccole che siano, qualunque sia lo stadio della loro guerra rivoluzionaria, siano incarnazione dell’internazionalismo proletario.

Siamo totalmente al fianco del Partito Comunista dell’India (maoista) in questo momento. I compagni indiani sentono forte e chiaro l’appoggio del nostro Partito, lo sforzo prodotto per l’avanzamento del sostegno alla guerra popolare, che è parte indissolubile della rivoluzione mondiale .

La morte del compagno Basavraj, il suo dare la vita insieme ai suoi compagni, alle migliaia di compagni caduti in battaglia, diventa e deve diventare sempre più una spinta e un impegno per far avanzare la via della guerra di popolo in tutto il mondo.

L’esempio eroico che viene dal compagno caduto è una forza ideologica e materiale che ci fa affermare con certezza che nulla e nessuno può fermare la guerra di popolo, nulla e nessuno può fermare il Partito comunista dell’India (Maoista), nulla e nessuno può fermare l’unità dei proletari e dei popoli del mondo per combattere l’imperialismo, i suoi regimi fascisti, assassini, genocidi, i suoi servi e complici che, nella loro crisi profonda, vogliono portarci verso l’orrore di una nuova guerra imperialista mondiale.

La vita del compagno Basavraj vive nella nostra lotta, ha conquistato il suo posto nella storia della nostra classe e della marcia verso il comunismo.

Il compagno Basavraj è un eroe del popolo e per questo immortale!

The Modi regime had to deploy a huge military force to hit Comrade Basavraj and his comrades. It shows not the strength but the weakness of the Indian regime.

The death of Basavraj and other our comrades is a serious loss for the Party, the proletarians and the people’s masses in the world and for the international communist movement, of which this Party, based on Marxism-Leninism-Maoism and waging the largest people's war in the world today, in the most populous country in the world, where a decisive part of the global clash between imperialism and the proletariat and oppressed peoples of the world is being played out. A clash that plays a decisive role in the current world situation marked by the march towards imperialist war, repression, exploitation, misery and oppression of the peoples.

Imperialism and the Indian regime are crying victory. But they are wrong! The extraordinary history of the Indian communist movement and the people's war in this country was born in the glorious 70s, when the wind of revolution came to India from red China, led by Mao Tse tung, and was embodied in the Naxalite movement, led by Charu Mazundar and the Party he founded; he too was martyred in order to suffocate that movement. Reality has shown that the Indian revolution, the Naxalite movement, the Communist Party of India Marxist-Leninist – today CPI (Maoist) – are indestructible. The reactionary governments of the comprador bureaucratic bourgeoisie pass and fall, and end up in the dustbin of history; the Marxist-Leninist-Maoist communist movement and the march for the New Democratic Revolution towards socialism and communism, through victories and defeats, advances and setbacks, prove invincible. They serve not only the liberation of the proletariat and the Indian masses but the world revolution.

Comrade Basavraj was the fruit of this history, product of the proletariat and the oppressed masses of India, he was forged by Marxism-Leninism-Maoism and the strength of the revolution.

Comrade Basavraj began his long history as a leader and organizer of the student movement and then as a militant and cadre of the Party. He was the founder, under the leadership of the Party, of the People's Guerrilla Army and led as Commander the highest pages of the attacks to the reactionary Indian State and its governments that made this Party the "main internal enemy" of the Indian regime and imperialism.

Comrade Basavraj was a master of the people's war, builder of guerrilla bases and bodies of people's power. And this is what, when comrade Ganapathi had to leave his post for health reasons, made him the general secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist). It occurred in an extremely difficult situation, with the Indian regime unleashing war on people through various operations, always with the main objective of hitting the Party, its cadres, its Leadership, always with the aim of serving the Indian bourgeoisie and imperialism on a national and global scale; always in the desperate illusion of wiping out the people's war and stopping the march of the revolution.

The Modi’s fascist government does not understand -as it has been said- that the New Democratic Revolution does not arise from an individual, nor can it be suffocated with the martyrdom of an individual. The people and only the people are the driving force of history. It is the people who produce and reproduce the Party, its cadres, it is the people who produced comrade Basavraj.

And it is the people who, despite the grave loss, will give a present and a future to the Indian revolution and the Party.

Of course, this is always the result of the ability to apply, with concrete analysis in the concrete situation, the Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, the laws of war.

Of course, this requires a strategy and tactics that respond to both advances and setbacks. And it is this way that the revolution resists and wins. All this is not only the fruit of the strength of the Indian revolution and its Party, it requires and calls for the support of the proletarians and peoples of the world. Any revolution which could rely on that has won. And this requires that the International Communist Movement, its Parties, its Organizations, large and small, whatever the stage of their revolutionary war, be the embodying of proletarian internationalism.

We are totally on the side of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) at this time. The comrades in India feel loud and clear the support of our Party, the efforts made for the advancement of support for the people's war, as an inseparable part of the world revolution.

The death of comrade Basavraj, the giving his life together with other comrades, with the thousands of comrades fallen in battle, becomes and must become more and more a push and a commitment to advance the path of the people's war throughout the world.

The heroic example that comes from the fallen comrade is an ideological and material force that makes us state with certainty that nothing and no one can stop the people's war, nothing and no one can stop the Communist Party of India (Maoist), nothing and no one can stop the unity of the proletarians and the peoples of the world to fight imperialism, its the fascist, murderous, genocidal regimes, its lackeys and accomplices who, amidst their deep crisis, want to lead us towards the horror of a new world imperialist war.

Comrade Basavraj's lives in our struggle, he has won his place in the history of our class and the march towards communism.
