From Dazibao Rojo we join in the deep sorrow that all of us who shared the struggle with our comrade and founder of Dazibao Rojo Martin Naya are suffering. We promise to continue your great work of study and propaganda, comrade!
Eternal honour and glory to comrade Martin Naya
"There are men who fight for a day and are good, there are men who fight for a year and are better, there are men who fight for many years and are very good. But there are those who fight all their lives, and these are indispensable." (Bertolt Brecht)
It is with deep sorrow that we must give the bad news of the death of our great comrade Martin Naya. On September 3, after an intense struggle against various illnesses, giving his last example of courage and determination, he decided to walk the luminous path of revolutionary immortality.
The Galician proletariat in particular, and the international proletariat in general, lost one of the most important figures of Maoism in the last 40 years, a great connoisseur of the work of Chairman Mao and Chairman Gonzalo, as well as of all the revolutionary movements of the past and present, on an international level, he was a true master of the masses and a tireless organiser and militant, he was known as Miguel Alonso to the international proletariat, writing numerous articles on Maoism, making great contributions to the ideological and two-line struggle in the ICM, always forceful and often polemical, but always with respect for the comrades and open to correcting their mistakes, as Chairman Mao taught us.
Comrade Martin Naya was born on 28 July 1952. He began his political activism at a very young age, taking an active part in the PTG (Galician Workers' Party / PTE), an organisation of Marxist-Leninist Mao Tse Tung thought, in which he held various representative posts, as well as in the Confederation of United Workers' Unions CSUT.
After Deng Xiao Pin's coup, many organisations abandoned Maoism and many went over to revisionism as in the case of the PT. So, the comrade left the organisation and continued to think that Chairman Mao's ideas were correct, following the evolution of Maoism in the world, in particular what was happening in Peru and in the RIM. He was the comrade who held high the red flag of Maoism in Galicia from this time until the end of his days. He was a man who stood firm in the defence of Maoism with unwavering commitment and sacrifice in the face of many setbacks and difficulties, fighting tirelessly for the interests of the people and for the cause of the World Proletarian Revolution.
In 1989 he organised a series of lectures in Galicia on the situation in Peru by members of the Communist Party of Peru.
In 1993, when Chairman Gonzalo was arrested, he organised the Galician Emergency Committee to defend his life. Together with other comrades, he carried out a multitude of activities during the duration of the Committee, conferences by the lawyer of the International Delegation Miguel Arnau, rallies in front of the Peruvian Consulate in A Coruña, collection of signatures, concerts and even poetry recitals of poems by César Vallejo. The comrade has always been firm in his defence of Chairman Gonzalo and his thinking, as commander and guide of the Revolution in Peru, denouncing the hoaxes of the genocidal Fujimori-Montesinos and fighting the ROL with all his might.
In 1993 he created the Correo Vermello as a propaganda apparatus for international Maoism. In 1996 he started the People's War in Nepal, and soon after he organised the Galician Committee of support to the People's War in Nepal, which would campaign in various parts of Galicia, until the surrender and capitulation of the Maoist Communist Party led by the traitors and renegades Prachanda-Batarai. The comrade took upon himself the mistake of not having seen the betrayal in Nepal earlier.
In 2006 he founded the Comité de Loita Popular "Manolo Bello", the first mlm organisation in Galicia.
In 2008 he created the Dazibao Rojo, becoming one of the informative references of Maoism in the world in Spanish.
In 2010, together with other comrades, he organised the Comité Galego de apoyo a la Guerra Popular en India (Galician Committee in support of the People's War in India).
In 2012 he founded, with his comrades of the CLP "MB", the Construction Committee of the Maoist Communist Party of Galicia. The comrade was one of the major promoters of the holding of a single Unified International Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Conference until his last days.
In 2014 he founded the Movimento de Loita Popular with other comrades, as a mass organisation. For several years it became the reference point for the popular struggle in A Coruña. Highlighting the struggle against evictions, corruption, and the workers' struggle, as well as the solidarity with the struggle of the Brazilian people against the World Cup or the MFPR tour of Italy.
In 2018 organised by the Marxist Studies Group of the CS A Comuna in A Coruña.
Yes, comrades, Maoism has lost one of its indispensable leaders, a great leader, but his example of study, work, commitment, and ideological firmness will remain forever in the memory of the exploited and oppressed peoples of the world.
From here, the Construction Committee of the Maoist Communist Party of Galicia we commit ourselves to follow his Maoist example, to hold high the banner of Maoism, to fight for a single Unified Maoist International Conference, and to build the Maoist Communist Party of Galicia as a fundamental tool to build the Army and the Front and through the People's War to create the Galician Socialist Republic as a base of support for the World Proletarian Revolution.
Eternal honour and glory to comrade Martin Naya !!!!
