Events unfolding in India confirm the dire situation the comrades and cadres of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) are facing. Significant statements by Prime Minister Modi demonstrate that the issue of the Naxalites and Maoism remains a central focus for him; Modi has declared that the Maoist insurgency has been substantially defeated militarily, though this does not mean it has vanished.

Modi emphasizes that the country—or rather, his regime—now faces a new battle against what is termed "Dimagi Naxal" (Intellectual Naxalism), the ideological movement rooted in Maoism: "If the violence has been defeated, the task now is to defeat the ideology that drove and guided it." This aligns with the regime's current actions, which appear to be targeting Naxalite intellectuals. Modi states that these comrades and their spheres of influence have been identified and isolated; consequently, it is evident that repression will now be concentrated on these areas.

These statements corroborate reports from various associations—some of which have appeared on our blogs—regarding the ongoing repression in areas engaged in the struggle against the Modi regime.

Two other issues testify to the fact that the "Maoist obsession" remains central to Modi's agenda. The Home Minister has declared that, having defeated the Naxalites, the goal is now to employ the same methods to combat drug trafficking. This confirms that every escalation of repression against the Naxalite movement translates into further government action, applying the same brutal tactics against any entity that poses a challenge to the regime. Furthermore, on the 5th, Prime Minister Modi threatened Pakistan, stating that if Pakistan engages in armed actions amounting to an incursion into Indian territory—given the existing national and international tensions between the two countries—India will respond. He emphasized this by saying, "just as we did with the Maoists..." and "the way we have tackled terrorism shows that we mean business."

This topic is used in two ways: on one hand, to claim victory over Maoism; on the other, it reflects an enduring obsession for the Indian regime, which is well aware that its strategic future hinges on whether or not the Naxalite movement resurges.

Other news are also intereting. For instance, the Nepalese government—through Prachanda—has officially requested that the Indian government release twenty rebel Maoist cadres currently held in Patna's prisons.

Clearly, the Naxalite threat in India is far from eliminated, despite the Modi regime's triumphalist statements and military victory; we, for our part, view this not as a strategic victory, but merely as a tactical one within the current phase.

For all these reasons, the ongoing campaign regarding India—culminating in the national mobilization on September 26—goes beyond mere solidarity. It addresses the fundamental dynamics of the relationship between India and its people, as well as India's place within the global system. It encompasses the alignment of forces in the imperialist war and the crises associated with it—such as the situation in Palestine, the aggression against Iran, and the international repercussions of a war with Iran, which would inevitably affect India as well. This campaign must be viewed within the context of an ongoing struggle—one that extends beyond the events of the 26th—concerning the ties between India and Palestine, as well as the international axis of trade routes linking India, Israel, and Italy. Regarding Italy specifically, the key issue concerns the ties between Leonardo (military production state owned enterprise) and the Indian regime.

In this context, our initiative seeks to combine three elements: propaganda, agitation, and direct action.

On the level of action, the main element—as seen in similar initiatives worldwide—is the issue of political prisoners and state repression. This repression targets both revolutionary-leaning intellectuals accused of links to Maoism and the broader population facing the regime's mass crackdowns. In recent months, this repression has impacted India's most significant and timely urban movement: the so-called "Cockroach Movement." This movement sparked unprecedented mobilization among students and youth, shaking India and revealing to the world the nature of the contradictions the country is facing. The Cockroach Movement is also deeply connected to India's diverse communities...

...communities existing around the world—precisely because this youth is also connected to that segment of the population forced to leave India.

September 13th marks the commemoration of Jatin Das, a figure of great historical significance and the first universally recognized martyr of the Indian revolution during the era of British colonial rule. He died in Lahore prison on September 13, 1929, after a 63-day hunger strike. A call to action issued by the coalition of associations known as "Justice for Kerala Prisoners" highlights their link to the struggle for the rights and dignity of political prisoners in India.

Raising awareness and mobilizing on behalf of political prisoners—as well as responding to the regime's manifold repressive operations—tangibly links the International Day of September 26th to the ongoing mobilization within India.

The issue of political prisoners in India further confirms that, as ever, the Modi government has no intention of "pardoning" political prisoners or those incarcerated due to the people's war and armed struggle in India.

The government has used the weapon of blackmail for political ends to secure defections and disarmament. In a statement made during a major trial involving several prisoners—many of whom had surrendered—the judge clearly indicated that surrender does not automatically exempt individuals from standing trial for their offenses, crimes, or attacks. This implies that the Modi regime's judicial stance is to ensure that every trial effectively results in a long prison sentence for the accused. The issue of political prisoners and repression links the plight of Indian prisoners to the broader situation of political prisoners in Palestine and to the dynamics of repression affecting political prisoners everywhere—including in our own country—whether they belong to the Palestine solidarity movement or, more generally, to circles considered revolutionary in relation to imperialist regimes and states.

FILIPINAS:Advancing the people's war is the highest tribute to Ka Rida - Communist Party of the Philippines

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Philippines bestows the highest honors to Julia Cagadas-Lastimosa, revolutionary leader of North Central Mindanao Region (NCMR). The thousands upon thousands of workers, peasants and Lumad people knew her as Ka Rida, Ka Toyang, Ka Kayuka, Ka Tanya―whom they deeply loved for her simplicity, determination and dedication to serve all the oppressed and exploited.

Last Saturday, September 12, Ka Rida, 66, breathed her last. She fell in combat along with three other Red fighters of the New People's Army, in an armed encounter with the fascist troops of the 26th Infantry Battalion, in Barangay Bakingking, Esperanza, Agusan del Sur.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the children, relatives and loved ones of Ka Rida. We also offer our sympathies to the friends and families of Ka Maki (Rocha Mae Bihag), Ka Doydoy (Tiloy Basahon) and Ka Kikoy (Ringo Lindayo). For having dedicated their lives to the cause of national liberation and true democracy, they are all heroes of the Filipino people. Their names are now forever etched in the walls of the people's pantheon.

We extend our deepest condolences to the revolutionary forces of NCMR, many of whom crossed paths with Ka Rida as she mentored and guided countless young revolutionary activists and cadres. Ka Rida was among the leading cadres of the Regional Party Committee who led the growth of the revolutionary movement in NCMR over the past two decades.

Ka Rida hailed from a middle-peasant family in Barangay Bugo, on the outskirts of Cagayan de Oro City. She finished secondary school. She joined the Party in 1979 at age 19, and served as an organizer among workers and student youth. She later served as secretary of an armed partisan unit during the 1980s.

She was twice imprisoned by the enemy, but never for one moment bowed before the oppressors. In August 1989, she was arrested during the height of workers' struggles in the country. Less than two months later, she joined others in a jailbreak, and swam across the mighty Cagayan River to freedom. She was arrested again by the enemy in 2003. She spent two years in the enemy's prison, organizing fellow detainees to fight for their rights. She gained freedom as trumped-up charges against her were dismissed one after another.

Ka Rida firmly upheld the Second Great Rectification Movement in the 1990s to correct errors of military adventurism and urban insurrectionism. She later assumed the role of secretary of a front committee, and later served as secretary of a subregional committee (covering Misamis Oriental and parts of Agusan provinces).

In the early 2010s, she was elected to the Regional Committee and its Executive Committee. Along with other cadres, she conscientiously studied Marxism-Leninism-Maoism and assiduously applied it to revolutionary practice. It was during this time that the revolutionary forces in the region grew steadily, reaching historic levels of strength.

In 2016, she attended the Second Congress of the CPP. She was elected to the Central Committee and subsequently participated in its inaugural plenum. In October 2023, she assumed the position of secretary of the North Central Mindanao Regional Committee. In 2024, she was designated as a member of the CC's Political Bureau.

Over the past decade, the revolutionary forces in NCMR and other regions across the country suffered losses as a result of internal weaknesses and shortcomings, amid a sustained armed offensive of the reactionary armed forces since 2017. As in the 1990s, Ka Rida firmly upheld the call for a rectification movement to correct errors and shortcomings.

In recent years, she personally led the revolutionary forces in conducting mass work to deepen and expand the reach of the Party and NPA. Under her leadership, the NPA conducted political education and propaganda to rouse the people to wage revolutionary struggles amid heightened fascist attacks and threats of imperialist war and plunder.

For close to a decade, the Armed Forces of the Philippines has spent billions of pesos on widespread armed offensives in NCMR, occupying peasant and Lumad communities and placing these under military rule. Employing its armed minions, the Marcos regime has subjected the local population to psywar and disinformation, surveillance and harassment, and carried out combat operations combined with relentless aerial bombardment. The objective of the AFP and the puppet Marcos regime is to crush the people's resistance in order to pave the way for the entry of foreign capital.

Gloating over their killing of Ka Rida and believing they have succeeded in snuffing out the armed revolution in NCMR, AFP officials proclaimed that "development can now begin," publicly and explicitly saying that mining companies can now expand their operations in the region. In doing so, they are inadvertently teaching the Filipino people that their revolutionary armed resistance has for many years preserved the country's wealth and patrimony, and protected it from foreign plunder.

The declaration comes at a time when US imperialism is pushing aggressively to seize control of Philippine critical mineral and other resources. It is funding the AFP to intensify its counterinsurgency drive and establishing military rule in areas where mining companies operate or plan to operate. The killing of Ka Rida and other NPA fighters is now being offered by the Marcos regime and its armed forces on the altar of the Pax Silica, the economic and military scheme of US imperialism.

The Marcos puppet regime, its armed forces and their US imperialist masters believe that killing Ka Rida will halt the people's armed resistance. They are utterly mistaken. The sacrifice of Ka Rida and other revolutionary fighters will only strengthen the resolve of the Filipino people to wage a just war in defense of their land and the country's patrimony, and to attain their aspiration for genuine national freedom and democracy.

Long live the memory of Ka Rida and the martyrs of Agusan del Sur!

BANGLADESH:Discussion, red flag procession mark Mao Zedong’s 50th death anniversary at DU

A discussion, red flag procession and cultural program were held at Payera Chattar in the TSC area of Dhaka University on Wednesday to mark the 50th death anniversary of Chinese revolutionary leader Mao Zedong.

The programs were organized throughout the day.

A red flag procession was held at the beginning, followed by a discussion on Mao Zedong’s political struggle, his role in opposing imperialism and exploitation, and his contribution to the liberation movements of oppressed people.

Later, revolutionary mass songs, songs and poems were performed at a cultural program organized by Gonoshilpir Ganer Dal.

Speakers said Mao Zedong’s political thoughts and teachings remain relevant to struggles against imperialism, exploitation, discrimination and oppression in different parts of the world.

They called for a united movement to establish the rights of exploited people, including workers and peasants, and build a discrimination-free society.

The program was presided over by Hasan Fokri, president of Shaheed Biplobi o Deshpremik Smriti Sangsad and convener of the Comrade Mao Zedong 50th Death Anniversary Observance Committee.

Comrade Arunav Ashraf, joint president of Biplobi Chhatra-Jubo Andolon, Dhaka Metropolitan, conducted the program.

Among those who spoke were Chhatra Gonomancha Joint Convener Ferdous Rahman Rod, Khanan Patrika Editor Badal Shah Alam, Biplobi Chhatra-Jubo Andolon President Taufika Priya, Naya Ganotantrik Gonomorcha President Jafar Hosen and Jatiya Ganotantrik Gonomancha President Masud Khan.

The speakers highlighted various aspects of the Chinese people’s long political struggle under Mao Zedong’s leadership.

They said the Chinese revolution was achieved through a prolonged movement against imperialism, bureaucratic-comprador capitalism and feudalism. They also said Mao’s leadership influenced liberation movements among oppressed people in different countries.

The program called for strengthening the people’s movement against imperialism, expansionism, bureaucratic-comprador capitalism, feudalism and religious fascism.

Mediante un comunicado Albanese ha dicho que… "En la devastada Gaza, los escombros no son solo residuos de construcción. Forman parte de la escena del crimen, de un cementerio y constituyen el registro material de lo ocurrido durante una campaña de bombardeos brutal y sin ‌sentido que ‌duró dos años", ya que se estima que debajo de estos se encuentran sepultados los cuerpos de al menos 10 mil personas, además de los indicios periciales que la comunidad internacional debería compilar para juzgar y encarcelar a los criminales de guerra. La “Junta de Paz” que está financiando estos trabajos recibe subsidios directos de los gobiernos de Estados Unidos, Emirato Árabes Unidos y Marruecos, respectivamente, e “Israel” los administra de forma deliberada para borrar las huellas de sus crímenes. Otros investigadores como Muhammad Shehada, adscrito al Consejo Europeo de Relaciones Exteriores, sostienen que “el organismo redirige recursos destinados a la recuperación de la Franja para sufragar el desalojo clandestino de cascotes impregnados de restos humanos”. Entre los trabajos que se están realizando se encuentran la introducción de maquinaria pesada para la remoción y trituración de escombros, nivelación y compactación de suelo, pavimentación y construcción de rutas para transporte militar. La barbarie cometida contra Gaza no parece tener fin; el “alto al fuego” simplemente no existe y desde su firma en octubre de 2025 a la fecha ya han sido asesinadas 1,352 personas y otras 4,511 han sido heridas. En total, la suma de mártires desde el 7 de octubre de 2023 a hoy asciende a 73,658 con al menos 174,622 heridos. Ante este escenario, una importante reunión entre el Movimiento de Resistencia Islámica (Hamás) y el Frente Popular para la Liberación de Palestina (FPLP) ha tenido lugar esta semana en Beirut, Líbano. En ella se han establecido algunos ejes de discusión que responden a la propuesta lanzada recientemente por el FPLP como “Hoja de ruta para el Rescate Nacional”. PAÍSES BAJOS:Funeral and cerimony to commemorate Haydar Kutan

A large-scale funeral and farewell ceremony was held yesterday in Rotterdam to commemorate Haydar Kutan (Hoca), who passed away on August 24, and to send him off on his final journey to Dersim.

At the ceremony, the Maoist Communist Party (MKP) delivered a speech on Haydar Kutan’s (Hoca) life, his struggle, and his contributions to the revolutionary struggle as a cadre. Following the speech, a slideshow featuring images and speeches by Hoca was presented.

Following the video presentation, the revolutionary organizations participating in the event delivered their messages. A representative from Partizan also gave a speech at the memorial event, extending condolences to Haydar Kutan’s family, friends, and comrades.

During the speech, attention was drawn to Haydar Kutan’s role as an intellectual workerwho, throughout his revolutionary life, created, wrote, and was constantly in search of new ideas. Emphasis was placed on his modest and self-sacrificing personality, which valued friendship and mutual respect among revolutionaries. It was stated that Haydar Kutan’s legacy and his contributions to the struggle would live on in the revolutionary struggle.

The march “Dağ Dumandır,” which Hoca loved to sing and listen to, was sung in unison by those attending the ceremony.

The farewell event, attended by revolutionaries from all walks of life, concluded with a mass singing of “The Internationale” and the chanting of slogans.

The funeral of Haydar Kutan (Hoca), who had lived in exile for 47 years and was being sent off to Dersim—a place he had longed for for years—will be laid to rest today following a ceremony to be held in Dersim.

The Indian revolution, the people's war, the CPI (Maoist) is today in a very difficult situation, the Modi's regime claims that India is “naxal-free” today. The ruling classes, other governments and regimes in India had said the same in the past but the history has showed that this is an illusion.

People's war and CPI (Maoist) are immortal! New generations of sons of the people are in struggle and take in their hands the flag of revolution.

It is true that in these hard times it needs more than ever the international and internationalist solidarity and support by the communist, proletarian, revolutionary movement, anti-imperialist movements, proletariat and people in struggle and in arms in the world.

ICSPWI with its strong and permanent support of CPI(Maoist) in all form, exists for this and is engaged to mobilise everybody for this support.

The actions of protest of the International Emergency campaign agaist Operation Kagaar until the strong 28thMarch demostrations in the world have showed that in many parts of the world this is possible, but it needs to continue this campaign and do much more.

It needs to unify the international movement against all the forms of opportunism and sectarianism.

It needs to unite the initiatives on the democratic front and in support of the democratic people’s opposition movements against the Modi regime with the support to the CPI(Maoista) and his struggle against revisionists, traitors and capitulationists, today. and particularly on the 22nd anniversary of Party foundation in september, to defend the Party and the road of protracted People’s War in India e in the world.

It needs to bring this struggle within the international communist movement, the large anti-imperialist movement in the world, first the movement of solidarity with the Palestine, the movement aganit the imperialist war, the movement against repression for the release of political prisoners.

Therefore, as part of an ongoing protracted campaign, we call for a new International Day od Solidarity and struggle on the 26th of September 2026.

The platform and plan of actions for the Day will be developed from Rome to Paris, from Switzerland to Germany, from Turkey to Brazil, from Colombia to USA, from Bangladesh to China e and everywhere it is possible in the world.

UGANDA:Newly established Communist League of Uganda leaders arrested by Museveni regime

Leading comrades from the Communist League of Uganda were kidnapped by Ugandan state thugs yesterday following the League's recent national Congress.

Repression is worsening across the continent in the face of rising class tensions, driven largely by the rising cost of oil due to the US/Israeli war on Iran.

We express solidarity with all communists in Uganda and call for international pressure for the release of all political prisoners, and an end to the state harassment of socialists and communist organisers.

Repression cannot stop the tide of history! Long live the working class! ⚒️🚩

.Ugandan security forces have reportedly arrested leaders of the recently established Communist League of Uganda (CLU), only days after the organisation held its first national congress.

Booker Ngesa Omole, general secretary of the  Communist Party Marxist-Kenya (CPM-K), reported on Saturday that leaders of the CLU had been arrested by the Western-backed regime of President Yoweri Museveni. A video posted with his statement shows several Ugandans handcuffed inside a security vehicle.

At the time of writing, the precise number and identities of those detained, the location of their detention and any charges brought against them have not been confirmed.

The arrests, if confirmed, constitute a serious attack on fundamental democratic rights. Workers, youth and defenders of democratic rights internationally must oppose the persecution of political organisations by the Ugandan state and demand the immediate disclosure of the whereabouts and legal status of all those detained.

Unmask the Nature- and Climate-Destroying Capitalist-Imperialist World System

On August 26^th, hundreds of people were killed and injured in a flash flood in Nepal. Additionally, more than a thousand people are missing. The relationship between the people of Nepal and the people of our country spans many years—ranging from ordinary trade to the exchange of struggle experiences.

On behalf of the International Department of our party, we express our grief and condolences to the families of those killed and affected by the flash flood in Nepal. At the same time, we express solidarity with the revolutionary communists of Nepal.

Following this terrible flash flood, various research organizations are mainly blaming long-term climate change for the situation. In reality, the ice of the Himalayas has begun to melt, creating a adverse impact on nature. Many are saying this, but why is this happening? The imperialist-capitalist profit-centric world system is destroying nature in the name of so-called development and progress. And for that reason, the ordinary people of the world are suffering the consequences through floods, droughts, excessive rains, landslides, etc.

This flood in Nepal is not just a warning message for the people of Nepal; it is for all South Asia and the world. Already, the impact of the flood has reached Bihar. Bihar's Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has asked to open the Farakka Barrage gates. And everyone knows that if this is done, its impact will fall on our country as well. Therefore, this crisis doesn’t belong to Nepal only, but also to us.

Today, the program of saving the earth, life, nature, and climate has emerged as a fundamental program before the communists of all countries. Therefore, saving climate, life, nature, and the earth is part of the class struggle. That is why this struggle must be advanced further under the leadership of a united organization of communists worldwide.

We call upon all the people and revolutionaries of Nepal:

1. Stand by the affected people.

2. Unmask the nature- and climate-destroying activities of the rulers.

Finally, our call to the people of Bangladesh: Oppose this nature-destroying imperialist system. Build a struggle to achieve the fair share of all common rivers with India.
