BANGLADESH:Complete Solidarity with the Student-People's Movements Across Europe, - RSYM

Statement by the Revolutionary Student-Youth Movement and the Revolutionary Workers' Movement

Complete Solidarity with the Student-People's Movements Across Europe, Including France, and Strong Condemnation and Protest Against Police Repression, Killings, and Arrests in the Movements.

The Revolutionary Student-Youth Movement and the Revolutionary Workers' Movement strongly condemn and protest the killings, arrests, and police repression targeting the ongoing student-people's movements in France and various other European countries.

In France, a student movement has spread since September 2026 against the financial crisis in the education sector, teacher shortages, dilapidated educational institutions, rising living costs, and an uncertain future. This movement is no longer confined to students' demands alone. The demands of workers and peasants have also become part of it. All forces opposed to French President imperialist Macron are now joining this movement. Far-right nationalists, reformists, the electoral left, revolutionaries, workers, peasants, students, and the general public are all taking to the streets with their class demands. The French government is carrying out widespread arrests and using police force to suppress the movement. Protests are also intensifying in various European countries, including Italy, Belgium, and Spain, over crises in education, housing, wages, and public services. Imperialism is in crisis across Europe.

We believe that this crisis of imperialism is not an isolated phenomenon; these are crises of the imperialist economic system. A profit-driven economy, inequality, unemployment, cuts in education and healthcare sector, and policies that shift the burden of the crisis onto ordinary people are devastating people's lives. Class contradictions are increasingly sharpening. The imperialist-capitalist world order is failing to guarantee the fundamental interests and rights of the people.

The movements of students-masses and young people of Generation Z are expressions of their legitimate demands, sense of rights, and political consciousness. Considering young people politically immature, ignoring their demands, or choosing the path of repression reflects the anti-people nature of the state system of imperialist France.

We call for the release of arrested protesters and urge people to continue the movement until their legitimate demands, including those concerning education, are fulfilled.

At the same time, however, oppressed people must remain aware that the total liberation of the people cannot be achieved merely by changing the government. The experiences of Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka demonstrate that even after changes of government, the crises affecting people's lives have persisted and intensified. What is therefore needed is a transformation of the entire state system and the exploitative socioeconomic system.

We call upon student-youth, workers, peasants, and other oppressed people to transform movements centered on isolated issue-based demands into a movement for the transformation of the entire system. The struggle to establish a society free from exploitation must be advanced by organizing under the leadership of the working class, guided by the ideology of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, and moving forward toward the goal of socialism-communism.

We express our full solidarity with the protest called for October 31 in France and the nationwide strike across France on November 5. It is right to rebel against injustice.
